David J. Lippert Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of David J. Lippert, journalism faculty member from 1966 to 1983. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate enrolled at the Oshkosh campus. Applicant must be majoring in journalism with a news-editorial emphasis and must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Applicant must achieve at least junior standing by Fall 2021. Applicant must have a strong career interest in newspapers and an understanding of the commitment a journalist makes to the ideal of responsible journalism. Selection will be based on quality of the applicant’s statement explaining their career interest in working on a newspaper staff and the applicant’s understanding of how journalists can best commit themselves to the ideal of responsible journalism. This award will be paid out in Fall 2021.
