Inez and Louis Chicquette Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment Status: Full-time undergraduate
- Declared Major: Special Education, must be officially admitted to the Teacher Education Program. Preference will be given to students in the cross-categorical emphasis.
- Must be in good standing with the special and early childhood education program.
Selection is based on academic achievement. Financial need based on an essay may be considered, but will not be the deciding factor in selection. Special consideration will be given to an applicant who has served in the military or has had a family member serve within the last 10 years.
Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

- Please submit a statement describing your need for financial support to continue your education. Make sure to provide detailed information regarding the resources you have to pay for college (scholarships, loans, VA benefits, employer benefits, etc.), your efforts to fund your education (how many hours you typically work per week, how long you’ve been employed, etc), and your remaining amount of financial need.
- Special consideration will be given to applicants who have served in the military or have family members who have served in the last ten years. Please list any military experience you have or any family members' military experience, including years of service.
