Dr. Madhu N. Mahadeva Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Madhu N. Mahadeva, professor of biology at UW Oshkosh from 1968 to 1991. The scholarship is intended for a high-achieving students with a high grade-point average in their chosen science major of mathematics, biology, biomedical science, microbiology, chemistry, or physics/astronomy. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate enrolled at the Oshkosh campus, with a commitment to a career requiring rigorous education in the sciences. Applicant must have overcome obstacles to pursue a career in the sciences. Preference will be given to applicants with an interest in pursuing advanced study, research, or leadership roles in areas in which they are traditionally underrepresented. Applicant must have between 54 and 80 credits completed (excluding Fall 2022 credits) and must have earned a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA in their major. Financial need based on an essay may be considered only to differentiate candidates who meet all other criteria. This award will be paid out in Fall 2023.
