Helen Bannan Women's and Gender Studies Award

This award is named in honor of Helen M. Bannan, director of women’s studies at UW Oshkosh from 1998 to 2007. The award is given to a women’s and gender studies major or minor who is enrolled at the Oshkosh campus. Recipient must be nominated by a faculty member. Nominated students are asked to write a reflective statement and submit two women’s and gender studies course papers. The nomination and application process is completed outside of Academic Works. The recipient will be chosen on the basis of the quality of the two papers and the reflective statement, the faculty letter of nomination, GPA in their women’s and gender studies major or minor, and overall academic record.
