Edward L. & Dorothy F. Schwartz Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment Status: Full-time undergraduate
  • Declared Major: Biology, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Health, Environmental Studies, Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, or Physics
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Grade Level: Sophomore or Junior
  • Must have a completed FAFSA on file

Selection is based primarily on financial need and work history during college studies. Academic achievement will be of secondary consideration.

Award Payment: Split evenly between Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

  1. Please submit a statement describing your need for financial support to continue your education. Make sure to provide detailed information regarding the resources you have to pay for college (scholarships, loans, VA benefits, employer benefits, etc.), your efforts to fund your education (how many hours you typically work per week, how long you’ve been employed, etc), and your remaining amount of financial need.
  2. Please submit a statement describing your work history while you have been enrolled at UW-Oshkosh. Include the type of employment, name of employer and the approximate number of hours work per week.
