Dr. David C. Loy Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1996 by Katherine Loy Calvin, in honor of her son, David. Dr. Loy was an economics professor at UW Oshkosh from 1967 until his retirement in 1993. The scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen who are admitted to the Oshkosh campus for Summer 2023 or Fall 2023. Applicant must have a minimum 2.8 high school GPA. Selection is based on a holistic approach that considers the applicant’s academic history and grade-point average, extracurricular participation, community involvement, and financial need. Priority may be given to students who have financial need based on the FAFSA, students who are first generation college students, and those who excel academically. Recipient must enroll full-time in order to receive the award. This award will be paid out in Fall 2023.
